Sigma Pi Brothers awarded at UWA Honors Day

[LIVINGSTON] The University of West Alabama Honors Day was held Wednesday March 24th. Sigma Pi brothers were awarded many awards in many different honor societies and departmental awards, which include:

Blue key new members inducted: Danny Hyche, Thomas Cooley, and Dustin Rinehart. Current Sigma Pi Members include David Laster and Doug Deaton.

Omicron Delta Kappa new member: Thomas Cooley. The Omicron Delta Kappa Leader of the year was awarded to David Laster. Current Sigma Pi members include: David Laster, Dustin Rinehart, Danny Hyche, and Brian Gober.

Phi Eta Sigma new members include: Daniel Bryars, Kaylan McDuff and Jamie Parker.

Daniel Bryars was awarded the Phi Alpha Theta outstanding Student in Western Civilization award. He was also recognized as an Honors Program member.

David Laster was given the University Scholars Award for Business Management.

Doug Deaton was given the University Scholars Award for Enviromental Science.

Brother Danny Hyche elected SGA President

[LIVINGSTON] The students of The University of West Alabama have elected Danny Hyche as the 2004-2005 SGA President. Danny is the second Sigma Pi brother to hold the office of President in the last four years.

Since 1998, Sigma Pi brothers have held the SGA of President twice, Business Manager twice, Secretary three times and have had numerous senators and representatives.

Brother Thomas Cooley Named 'SGA Legislator of the Year'

[LIVINGSTON] Brother Thomas Cooley was awarded as the SGA's Legislator of the Year, and was recognized at this years Honors day. This is the second year in a row that a brother of Sigma Pi has been awarded this, last year brother Danny Hyche was awarded.
